Committal for Mrs. Clyde L. Brown In Nevada Cemetery

Mrs. Clyde L. Brown, 72, a resident of the Iowa Soldiers home in Marshalltown died Thursday morning at the Iowa City hospital where she had been a patient for a week. She had been in poor health for the past 25 years due to a heart ailment which caused her death.

Mrs. Brown was born Etta B. Fetterhoff, Dec. 30, 1874, at Nevada. She was married to Pete Matison, also a native of Nevada, and he died in 1913. In September, 1915, she was married to Clyde L. Brown, a Spanish-American was veteran at Blue Earth, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Brown came to live at the Soldiers home May 27, 1927.

She is survived by her husband and six children by her first marriage. They are Mrs. Lola Ragsdale of Des Moines, Mrs. Arch E. White of Popejoy, Harry Matison of Whittier, Calif., Merle Marison of Colo, Clyde Matison who is in the navy hospital corps in New York, and Glen Matison of Florida, who is in the navy air corps. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Methodist church. Services were held in Marshalltown with committal in the Nevada cemetery.
