Mrs. Bickelhaupt Dies at Farm Home Near Story City

Story City, Aug. 29--Mrs. Andrew Bickelhaupt, 44, wife of a farmer southwest of Story City died Thursday at 2:20 p.m. She had submitted to a major surgical operation at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines July 1 and had been brought to her home on August 9.

Her maiden name was Marie Baker and she had been married to Mr. Bickelhaupt nine years on Sunday.

Besides her husband she leaves a sister, Mrs. Ted Cook, and brothers Claude, Levi, Everett and Ray Baker, all of Des Moines, and her mother, step-father and step-brother.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon with prayer services at the home at 1:30 followed by the funeral at the Grace Evangelical church with her pastor, Rev. G. L. Bergeman in charge. Burial will be at Center cemetery, southwest of Story City.
