WATERLOO WOMAN DIED IN NEVADA
MRS. J. L. JOHNSON, WITH HUSBAND, ENROUTE HOME FROM KANSAS TRIP
Mrs. J. L. Johnson, 70, of Rainbow Drive, Waterloo, died at the Nevada hotel Tuesday afternoon at 3:00, after a brief illness.
The body will be taken to Waterloo today, where the funeral and interment will be held.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson had been on their way home from Kansas, to which state they had accompanied a brother and wife from west, after the two couples had made a trip to Chicago.
They had all visited at Topeka but had parted at Atchison and each couple stared on their homeward trips.
Mrs. Johnson was taken ill shortly after their arrival here Monday evening and a daughter Mrs. C. E. Brinkerhoff, with her husband and Phyllis Johnson, a granddaughter, came down that night. Mr. Brinkerhoff returned to Waterloo Tuesday morning but came back to Nevada again immediately upon news of the death of Mrs. Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson leaves besides her husband and daughter Mrs. Brinkerhoff, five grandchildren. One of these is Phyllis, adopted by the grandparents, while the others are Richard, Russel and Ted Jones all of Canada and David Jones of Seattle.
She also leaves two sisters, one in Topeka, Kansas, and the other of California.
