MRS. JOHNSON DIED IN KANSAS TODAY

NEVADA WOMAN LEAVES TONIGHT TO ATTEND FUNERAL OF MOTHER.

Mrs. J. F. Johnson, 77, mother of Mrs. G. A. Benjamin of 235 J avenue Nevada, died at the Brown Memorial home at Abilene, Kansas at 7:00 this morning, according to word reaching the daughter.

Mrs. Benjamin will leave this evening for Salina, Kansas, where the funeral will be held and interment made, probably on Thursday.

Mrs. Johnson, widow of Rev. J. F. Johnson, who died in April, 1928, had visited in Nevada many time and had spent the winter of 1928-29 at the home of her daughter here. During those visits she had formed many friends and acquaintances in Nevada.

Mrs. Johnson, was born Fannie Rhodes at Harpers Ferry, Indiana, September 2, 1853. She was married to J. F. Johnson Feburary 12, 1872 and much of their married life was spent in Kansas. Rev. Johnson, a minister of the Methodist denomination, died at Salina, April 25, 1928 after having retired from his long service in the ministry. He was aged 78 years at the time of his death.

Mrs. Johnson had been an invalid for a number of years, suffering from pernicious anemia. She had made her home at the Brown Memorial Home at Abilene since a year ago last August. Word reached here a few days ago of a stroke of apoplexy, which finally resulted in her death.

She leaves no brothers nor sisters, but is survived by four of her five children. The children are Mrs. Grace Benjamin of Nevada, Frank Johnson of Abilene, Kansas, Ralph Johnson of Salina, Kansas and Robert Johnson of Solomon, Kansas.
