MEAD ROBINSON DIED ON SUNDAY
HAD BEEN EMPLOYED BY CITY OF AMES FOR PAST TWENTY YEARS
Mead Robinson, 64, for over twenty years an employee of the city of Ames, died at the home of his brother R. H. Robinson near Colo, Sunday.
The funeral was held today at two o'clock at the Adams Funeral home, Ames, after which interment was in the Ames cemetery.
Mead Robinson, son of Esculapleus and Mary E. Robinson, was born the Guernsy County, Ohio, Jan. 2, 1866 and died at the home of his brother, R. H. Robinson, Colo, Feb. 16, 1930 at the age of 64 years, one month and fourteen days.
At the age of seventeen he left his native state, Ohio, and went to Misouri coming the following fall to Story County, Iowa, where he resided until the time of his death. In 1894 he was united in marriage to Miss Daisy Murhy* who was called by death just one year and five months later. The deceased has been an employee of the city of Ames for practically the last twenty years.
He leaves to mourn his loss three brothers Robert H. of Colo, Thomas of Shipley and James M. of Graettinger all of Iowa, also a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Meade G. Robinson married Margaret Daisy Murphey on 14 November 1894 at Johnson's Grove, Story County, Iowa.
