PERRY SWIFT DIED SUNDAY EVENING
HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF NEVADA FOR MANY YEARS--WAS NOT ILL LONG
Perry Swift, long time laboring man of Nevada, died at Iowa sanitarium, late Sunday afternoon, from uremic coma from which he had been a sufferer for about two weeks. He had been taken to Iowa sanitarium early Friday.
The body was taken to the Morfoot funeral home where it is held awaiting definite funeral arrangements pending word from relatives.
Mr. Swift about 62 years of age, had been a resident of Nevada for many years, working much of the time as a ditcher. His wife is at the Story county home where she is held as an incurable insane patient, after having been under treatment at the state hospital at Clarinda.
It is said that he leaves two brothers and one sister. The brothers are understood to be in Indiana, while one sister has her home in Ohio, according to neighbors.
Mr. Swift owns some property in the city, including the residence known as the the Danish hall, at 1802 Fourth street. He also owns a number of vacant lots in the north part of the city.
It is reported that he made a will a short time ago, providing for the property he leaves going toward the care of his wife.
