Man of Mystery Went to Death Still Unidentified

Boone, Jan. 25--INS--Robert Simmons, 28 year old "man of mystery", will be buried here today at the expense of Boone county, with no record of his past or family to indicate who he is or where he comes from.

All that is known concerning Simmons is that he once received medical aid in Kansas City. He died late Friday in the Boone county home.

Simmons came to the county home shortly before Christmas, following a slight injury in an automobile accident. He declined to talk about his past or to give officials an inkling as to his home. Aside from mentioning that he had "been to doctor in K. C." he declined to discuss himself.

Simmons was a semi-invalid and was ill when he came to the county home officials said.
