MRS. JOHN JACKSON DIED EARLY TODAY
FORMER NEVADA WOMAN VICTIM OF ERYSIPELAS AT HOME AT IOWA FALLS
Mrs. John Jackson died at her home at 1010 River street, Iowa Falls, early today from the effects of erysipelas, from which she had been suffering for about a week, according to word received by relatives here.
Definite arrangements for the funeral and burial were not made at noon today. However the funeral will be held at Iowa Falls and the body brought to Nevada for interment in the Stone family lot in the local cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson whose maiden name was Linna B. Stone, was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Stone. She was born in Nevada and would have been 59 years of age of May 8 of this year.
She graduated from the Nevada high school with the class of 1889 and was married a few years later to John R. Jackson. Their home was at Tama for a number of years but about twenty-five years ago they moved to Iowa Falls and that has since been their home.
After the death of her father in the late '90s, the mother went to live with her at Tama and Mrs. Stone has since been in the home. Besides the husband and aged mother there are also three children, they being the sons Carl and John Ellis and the daughter Erma Jackson, now teaching music in the schools at Buffalo Center.
Mrs. Jackson is well remembered by the older families of Nevada besides her immediate family she leaves an uncle, Simon E. Armstrong of Nevada, an aunt, Mrs. Carrie A. Waters of Booneville, Ind., and an uncle, H. A. Armstrong of Beresford, Fla., besides a number of cousins.
Definite word regarding the time of the funeral and arrangements as to the burial will be learned here probably this evening.
