S. H. JONDALL, ROLAND PIONEER, PASSED AWAY
Sam H. Jondall, 76, pioneer resident of the Roland community, died late Monday at his home after a lingering illness.
Mr. Jondall, who was born in Norway, Europe, Feb. 15, 1864, came to America when a boy with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Jondall, being one of a family of twelve children.
He learned the carpenter's trade as a boy and worked at that for some time, but finally became a farmer. He was married to Bertha Prescott, and had he lived until next April they would have observed their golden wedding anniversary.
He leaves besides his wife, the following children, Mrs. Ivan Sampson, Clifford and Truman Jondall of Roland, and Floyd of Cass Lake, Minn.; a brother Ed P. Jondall of Bemidji, Minn., and sisters, Mrs. J. M. Christian of Roland and Mrs. C. O. Christian of Blue Earth, Minn.
