Henry Olaf Jondall died at Bethany Manor on March 27, 1979. Funeral services were held at Bethany Manor at 10 a.m. and at St. Petri Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. on March 31, with Pastors Rolfe S. Johnstad and Perry V. Sampson officiating.
Organist was Mrs. Joel Jacobson and soloist was Rolfe Johnstad. Casket bearers were John Valen, Edwin Hauge, Herbert Egenes, Richard Munsen, Vernon Munson, and Lawrence Osheim. Burial was at the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
Henry Jondall was born on February 15, 1891 to parents Ole and Elsie (nee Olson) Jondall at Story City. He received his schooling in the Story City schools and worked as a carpenter until retirement. He lived at the Story City Hospital for five years and moved to Bethany Manor nine months before his death. He was a life-long member of St. Petri Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lewis and Selius, and four sisters, Thea Barnes, Lena Jacobson, Ella Jacobson and Mane Jondall.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, one brother-in-law, Clarence Jacobson, Story City, and one sister-in-law, Alice Jondall, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
