Anita M. LaViolette Schultz
Anita was born in Duluth, MN on December 24, 1931 and passed away in Seattle, WA on November 12, 2017. The daughter of Fred and Yvonne LaViolette of Proctor, MN, she died from complications caused by carotid artery surgery.
Anita is survived by five children: Steven Schultz (Gail), Lynn Schultz, Kate Schultz (Jim Bruene), and Daniel Schultz all from the Seattle area; Paul Schultz (Sarah) of Olathe, KS; and brother Marcel LaViolette (Dolly) of Annandale, VA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins in the United States and Quebec.
Anita graduated from Proctor High in 1949. She attended Hirsch Business College in Duluth and was employed by Westmoreland Advertising in Duluth. Later she worked at a radio station, TV station and Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. She ended her career at Bank of America and Online Banking Report in Seattle.
Anita loved her family fiercely, enjoyed family get-togethers and was enamored with her grand and great grandkids. She was a fantastic cook, a wizard at word processing, and an enthusiastic fan of the Seahawks and Sounders.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Shoreline, WA on Dec 1, 2017 at 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon.
Interment will take place at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery that afternoon with family only.
