Death of K. P. Boyd

K. P. Boyd one of the leading citizens and noted farmers of this part of the county died at his home southwest of Roland Saturday night of heart failure. He was down at Ames Saturday afternoon, came home and retired at his usual early hour and as far as known to the family was in his usual health. At about 5 a. m. Sunday morning he was found dead in bed. During the past year he had been in feeble health some of the time but of late seemed much better and was able to look after matters incident to farm life. We have for many years intimately acquainted with K. P. Boyd and [the last lines are unreadable.]

The death of Knud P. Boyd of Roland, who was found dead Saturday morning in his bed removes one of the oldest and best esteemed citizens of Howard township. He has been in the country for a great many years and had always exercised a strong influence for whatever was best in the state or the local community.
