MRS. HENRY MOON, SR.

Miss Martha Myers was born in Ohio, June 29, 1834, and died at her home six miles northwest of Zearing, Dec. 28, 1912, at about 9:15 o'clock in the evening of cancer of the liver, aged 78 yrs. 6 mo. and 6 days.

In 1853 in Cedar Co., Iowa she was united in marriage to Henry Moon, moving here eighteen years later, where for forty years she and her family continued to live on the old home farm.

She leaves to mourn her loss a loving and kind husband, five daughters and four sons, several grand children, and many other relatives and friends. Her son John preceded her about four years ago. The children living are William Moon, Mrs. Mary Gogerty, Mrs. Jane Roseboro, L. H. and Chas. E. Moon of this place, Frank Moon of Hubbard, Mrs. Susie Hix of Oregon, Mrs. Martha Pitzer of Iowa Falls, and Mrs. Margaret Miller of Mt. Vernon, S. Dak.

The funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock at St. Gabriel's Mission Father Tobin holding mass. Interment was made in the Hubbard cemetery. Mrs. Moon was a good wife, a kind and affectionate mother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family and relatives have the sincere sympathy of all.
