Miss Stella Myers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Myers died their home north of town Sunday morning of Tuberculosis. Funeral services will be held at the home today (Tuesday) and interment.

Death of Estella Myers.

Miss Estella May Myers eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Myers, was born near Cambridge, Iowa December 11th 1896 and died at her home three miles north of Colo, Sunday September 8th 1912 at ten o'clock A. M. aged 15 years 9 months and 6 days. Her death was by tuberculosis. The first symptoms of the disease appeared about the first of year and although everything was one for her that love or medical skill could do; she gradually grew worse. She showed great courage in fighting the disease herself never giving up until a few days before her death but going about in the open air and looking on the bright side as much as possible. She was girl with a pleasant face and those who knew her speak of her kind and lovable disposition and, while the family have only lived in this community about two years, she made many friend who miss her greatly. She leaves to mourn her loss her father and mother, eight brothers and two sisters. A short service was held at the home Wednesday at nine o'clock A. M. after which the remains were taken to Cambridge where the funeral services were held in the M. E. church, Rev. J. E. Habliston, Pastor of the U. E. church of Colo, officiating. Interment was made in the Cambridge cemetery. Relatives present from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Allen Laurens, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Richardson of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Riggs of Ames and Mrs. E. P. Myers of Laurens, Mr. and Mrs. Myers and family have the sincere sympathy of the whole community in their bereavement.
