OBITUARY
MRS. ELLEN KIMBLE
Mary Ellen Robinson was born November 20th, 1841 in Elburn, Ill., was married at Elburn, November 20th, 1858 to Richard Kimble. They moved to Black Hawk county near Waterloo in 1861 but after three years returned to Illinois. In 1868 they came bark to Iowa arriving June 8th and settling in Milford township. Here Mr. Kimble died March 27th, 1905. Mrs. Kimble remained on the homestead until March 1913 when she went to Iowa Falls where she spent the last year of her life with her son E. W. Kimble. She had been very ill for some time and died there Thursday, May 28, 1914. The funeral was held in Nevada on Friday the 29th at the Methodist church Rev. Hardaway officiating. Mrs. Kimble leaving three sons, Clarence A. of Omaha, Elroy W. of Iowa Falls and George A. of Nevada besides five grandchildren. She was one of the efficient, noble pioneer women whose work lives after them and and is held in grateful memory not only by their sons and daughters and those with whom they were associated, but also by many who did not know them personally.
