ED ERNST DEEPLY MOURNED
Former Mail Carrier Was Liked at Maxwell.

Maxwell, May 11--The entire community was saddened Monday morning when the news was given out that E. A. Ernst had passed away at the Iowa sanitarium at Nevada. He was operated on last Friday for appendicitis and the appendix had bursted so it was very serious and little hope for recovery were held. Mr. Ernst was on of Maxwell's highly esteemed citizens and beloved by all patrons on his mail route where he will be greatly missed. His death causes a sadness to all as his wife is an invalid and needed his care. He leaves besides his wife, six children, Clyde and Mable of Des Moines, Mrs. Graham Kirby of Story City, Mrs. Harvey Randall of Toledo, Marcellous and Everett at home with other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 from the house, interment will be at Iowa Center cemetery. The Odd Fellows having charge of the funeral at the cemetery. The bereaved family are extended the profound sympathy of a host of friends.
