Elaine Lucille (Davis) Jondall
August 24, 1928 - May 19, 2017

Elaine Lucille Jondall, age 88, of Ames, IA, passed away at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Friday, May 19, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at Stevens Memorial Chapel (607 28th St., Ames, Iowa 50010).

Elaine was born August 24, 1928 in Boone, Iowa to Leslie and Helen (Herrick) Davis. She grew up in Boone, and attended Boone High School. She loved to garden and was a fan of all kinds of flowers, in her younger years she enjoyed camping, hiking and fishing. She had a knack for parking multiple cars in her driveway and yard during the football games at Iowa State University.

Elaine loved baseball, whether it was on the television, or supporting all of the family that played, she had a knowledge and understanding of the game that was unmatched, she probably attended more athletic events than any other Grandma. If she wasn't supporting the family at an athletic event, you may find her watching PBR bull riding.

She was a lifelong member of Calvary Methodist Church, she attend the South Hazel Coffee Club for 40 years, and a bridge club for 10 years.
Elaine is survived by her four children, Leandra (George) Clum of Webster City, IA, Dixie (Calvin) Peters of Warsaw, MN, Karen (Mike) Christenson of Polk City, IA, Kevin (Brenda) Rose of Pine Island, MN, Sister, Colette Williams of Boone, IA, 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Richard Rose, and 2nd husband Ronnie Jondall, mother, stepmother, father, 3 sisters, 1 brother, 1 great-grandson, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed towards the family to be used at a later date.
