DEATH OF MRS. HEMPING

Burial of Mrs. Hemping at Colo on Monday

Special to the Journal,
Colo, Dec. 11--The burial of Mrs. John Hemping who died in Dakota the last of the week, occurred at the cemetery in this city Monday morning at 10:00 short services being held at the grave. The body was accompanied here by her son Aaron Hemping.

Eva Brocious, was born July 28, 1824 at Northumberland county, Pennsylvania. When she as eighteen she was united in marriage to John N. Hemping. They lived in Dauphin county, Pennsylvania, until 1855, when they moved to Ogle county, Illinois. In 1866 they moved to Colo where they lived until eleven years ago, when she moved to Claremont, South Dakota.

Her husband preceded her in death, having died March 6, 1896. Ten children were born of whom the three youngest boys are living. She belonged to the German Lutherans until they moved to Illinois when she joined the U. E. association. She leaves to mourn her loss, three sons, then grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of loving friends. She was past 94 years at the time of her death.
