Wednesday afternoon of last week Frank Briley received a message from Breese, Ill., telling of the very serious illness of the Albert Briley family. The former departed the same evening for his brother's home on Friday the third daughter Hazel Jean passed away at the family home and as all the other members of the family were ill, Mr. Briley accompanied the body to Des Moines, where he was met by another uncle, Howard Duckworth of Ames.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Hazel Jean Briley was the daughter of Albert Gallatin Briley and Alma Marcella Duckworth. She was buried in the Ontario and New Philadelphia Cemetery, now a part of Ames, Story County, Iowa.
