OBITUARY
Mrs. Mary McNichols
Mary Connolly McNichols died at the home of her mother Mrs John Connolly, Monday morning December 2nd after an illness of several weeks. Her illness had baffled the skill of the physicians of O'Neil, Nevada and Des Moines. She kept growing gradually weaker and at the advice of the doctor, the husband and children were summoned, arriving here Saturday evening. She was born in Fairmont, Va., came to Iowa with her parents which a child and she lived here until she was married, then went to O'Neil, where she has since made her home She was possessed of a sweet and cheerful disposition, always caring for the welfare of others, which greatly endeared her to all and on every hand is heard the expressions of sorrow occasioned by her untimely death. A large concourse of friends followed the remains to St. James Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, S. F. McNichols and three children, Loretta Mabel, William Joseph and Martha Lorena, mother, brothers and sisters.
The esteem in which she was held in O'Neil was shown by the number of friends who attended the funeral and floral offerings from that place.
