Mr. Elijah Wire an aged gentleman of Ames, died very suddenly Tuesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G. M. Person. The funeral was held this morning at eleven o'clock.

The remains of Elijah Wire who passed away at the home of his daughter in Ames last week were brought to Cambridge last Friday afternoon and interred in the local cemetery, services at the grave being conducted by Ersland Post G. A. R. of which the deceased was a member.
