OBITUARY

DEATH OF MRS. T. P. CHILD

Mrs. Thomas P. Child is reported as having died within the past few days at St. Louis, where her son L. B. now resides; and her interment and funeral will take place at Lyons. Mrs. Child was formerly for a long time a resident of Nevada, and she has been a resident of the county since what most people would regard as the early days. She was a woman of much force and ability, was well known and highly regarded. She had been ill for a long time, and she well understood that she had a battle with consumption. She fought the battle bravely but has lost it at last. Many friends will learn of her death with greatest regret.

T. P. Childs who resides northeast of Cambridge received the sad news that his wife had passed away at St. Louis. Her remains were shipped to Lyons, Iowa, for burial. Mr. Childs left last Tuesday to be in attendance at the funeral. His many friends extend to him their sympathy in this sad hour.
