The funeral of John Fields, who was killed in a railway collision at Des Moines last Sunday evening, were held in the Friends Church this afternoon. They were largely attended and conducted by Dr. Bunce. The young man was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Fields living on the George Halley farm south of town. His death comes as a great shock and sorrow to them and other family matters.
