Mrs. Ryan of Des Moines, a young woman and a step-daughter of Pat Burns, died Wednesday at her home in that city and has been buried here this afternoon. Her maiden name was Emma Elizabeth Sheridan, and she was thirty-one years of age. The cause of her death was tuberculosis.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Emma Elizabeth (Sheridan) Ryan was the daughter of Thomas Sheridan and Melissa Elliot. Malissa married Thomas Sheridan on 17 October 1866 in Boone County, Iowa. Malissa later married Patrick Burns.
