Benedict Read an old resident of Story county, died Wednesday night at his home in Ames. Mr. Read came to Ames in 1865 from Toledo, Ontario. He is survived by Mrs. Read, their son Russell Read of Ames, and their daughter, Mrs. J. B. Cone of San Francisco.
