AMES CITIZEN DEAD

Hiram Blake, a highly respected citizen of Ames, died Monday morning at the family hoe on Kellogg avenue, after a long and painful illness. His age was seventy-five years. Mr. Blake was a pioneer of Cass county, and moved to Ames about seven years ago. Mrs. Blake preceded him in death five years ago. Three daughters are left to mourn--Mrs. Thomas Thompson and Mrs. Clyde Kintzley of Ames, and Mrs. Wm. Mote of Dike, Col. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at the Christian church, conducted by Rev. Shen and were in charge of the Masonic lodge and the G. A. R.
