From Nevada Representative December 6, 1910 (front page)
J. B. McCutchen had received word of the recent death of his young friend, Clee Hall, of Olds, Alberta. Mr. McCutchen has been fond of rehearsing to his neighbors accounts of the fine gunning for water fowls which was afforded by marshes and ponds last summer and in previous summers on the occasion of his protracted visits to Olds, Alberta; and he has habitually been generous in his tribute to the companion of those excursions, the lad above named, who was the promising fourteen or fifteen year old son of A. W. Olds* of Alberta, and the grandson of the late Alba Hall of Nevada. The lad, Mr. McCutchen says, was a prize winner not only in marksmanship, but in worth and mentality. One of the testimonials of his several triumphs was a gold medal received from the hand of the lieutenant governor of the province. Naturally a boy with such qualifications found, during many days of happy companionship with a friend of all boys, a warm place in the heart of this friend; and naturally the premature passing of so much promise is sincerely regretted by the friend as it is deeply mourned by kindred.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Cleeland Alba Hall was the son of Alba Webster Hall.
