Margaret Statler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Statler, was born in Nevada seventy-nine years ago. She attended the Nevada schools then worked as a bookkeeper in Nevada and Miami, Florida.

She was a member of Sylvan Chapter No. 207, of the Order of the Eastern Star and had sent her closing years in the Eastern Star Home in Boone. Shortly after going to the Home 19 years ago her eyesight had failed her but despite this handicap she remained cheerful and was an inspiration in the home for many years.

She was a member of a family that long was active in the affairs of Central Presbyterian church in Nevada.

She passed away Tuesday, November 8th.

She is survived by a brother, Fred Statler of Des Mones; a sister Mrs. Carrie Flack of Amboy, Ill., six nieces, ten nephews.
