JOHN W. SELLERS

John W. Sellers, 77, died Tuesday, May 25, at hi home, 823 Burnett ave. He had been in poor health for many years, but death was caused by cerebral hemorrhage.

His parents came to Iowa in 1860, and Mr. Sellers was born Apr. 12, 1866, in Richland township, Story county, and came to Ames in 1895.

He was a member of Arcadia Lodge 249, and received the certificate of 10-year membership from the Grand Lodge of Iowa, A. F. & A. M., Oct. 17, 1941.

He married Rose Elwood in April 1892, at Colo. The widow and one son, Claude E. Sellers, of Springfield, Ill, survive.

Rev. A. H. Barker, pastor of the First Methodist church, was in charge of the funeral service Thursday at the Adams chapel. Burial in the Ames cemetery.
