Obituary
Serine Margaret Hendeland was born at Skaanevig, Norway, Nov., 3, 1867, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Ole J. Handeland. She died July 3rd, 1945 at the age of 77 years and 8 months. She was baptized, confirmed, grew to womanhood and received her education in the community of her birth.She came to America in 1891. On April 7th, 1894, she was united in marriage to Andrew Olson of Cambridge. To this union two sons and three daughters were born. Mrs. Olson had been in frail health for many years. Through her long illness she as tenderly cared for at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Glenn Fausch at Slater. Through lingering illness she remained true to her baptismal covenat. Always patient, she looked to Jesus for strength -- trusted in Him as her personal Savior and died the life of a christian.
She is survived by her five children -- Mrs. Ann Christopher of Cambridge; Mrs. Sylvia Berbow of Elkhart; Mrs. Sadie Fausch of Slater; Oscar of Des Mones and John of Glendale, California. Also three grandchildren, a niece and other relatives and a large circle of friends.
