Lee Lowenberg, formerly of Nevada, dies in Denver

A former resident, Lee Lowenberg of Castle Rock, Colo., died Monday morning in the General Rose Memorial Hospital in Denver, Colo. He was 73.

Services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Albert Best officiating. Burial will be in the Colo Cemetery. A memorial fund to the Heart Association has been established.

Born Sept. 22, 1903 in Belmond to John and Kate Lowenberg, he married Frances M. Lounsberry in 1940. Lowenberg was a retired school administrator, a former Story County Farm Bureau fieldman and a member of the Nevada Masonic Lodge No. 99 A.F. and A.M. He belonged to the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Frances; one son, Robert L. Lowenberg of Castle Rock; one daughter, Mrs Linda Mondragon of Alamosa, Colo. and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
