Charles A. Jacobson, 68, of Roland died April 27, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic in Iowa City. Graveside services will be Wednesday May 11, at 1pm at the Story City Cemetery.

Charles A. Jacobson was born on September 15, 1947 in Story City to Theoroy and Helen (Hill) Jacobson. He graduated from Story City High School in 1965 and was then drafted into the United States Army. Charles did his basic training at Fort Bliss in Texas and served his country in Vietnam. He worked at the DOT for four years then worked at various jobs before returning to the DOT for five years.

Charles passed away April 27, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City at the age of 68.

Charles is survived by his two brothers, John (Gail) Jacobson and David (Joyce) Jacobson; three sisters, Barbara Fossel, Thelma Johnson and Ruth Ann (Larry) Brown; sister-in-law, Carol Ann Jacobson and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Robert; brother, Thomas and brother-in-law, Allen Fossel.
