Ricky Jay Clark, 60, of Collins, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames surrounded by his loved ones.
Ricky was born August 18, 1955, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Glen LeRoy and Vada Maude (Hull) Clark. He graduated from Collins High School in 1973 and served in the United States Army from 1974 until 1976 in Germany during Vietnam. On September 8, 1990, he was united in marriage to Anna Baker-Williams. Ricky worked for the National Animal Disease Center in Ames starting in 1976 and retiring in 2010.
Ricky was a member of the Collins Legion Post #81. He enjoyed collecting eagles and novelty radios. He also enjoyed mowing his yard, golfing and drinking coffee with the guys. He loved and cherished the time spent with his family.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Anna of Collins; his daughters: Heather (Kris) Petersen of Nevada and Samantha (Adam) Filmer of Grimes; his grandchildren: Parker Anderson, Ashton Petersen and Madison and Tanner Filmer; his sisters: Carmon Boten of Collins, Glenda Johnson of Corydon, Mylinda (Chris) Donald of Altoona; his brother, Grant Clark of Davenport; his sister-in-law, Cindy Clark of Collins; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Kenneth Clark; and sister-in-law, Jackie Clark.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, also at the funeral home. Cremation will follow services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Ricky.
