Carol Ann Nelson was born July 22, 1943 to Floyd William and Ruby Mae (Darrow) Nelson in Atlantic, Iowa. She spent the first 10 years of her life in Atlantic and then moved to Ames where she attended Wilson Beardshear School until she was 16 years old. Carol worked at Story County Development Center until 1997. At that time she moved to Glenwood, Iowa where she resided for 18 years. For the last year and a half she had lived in the Des Moines area.
Carol passed away at 72 years of age on April 7, 2016 in Des Moines.
Carol is survived by her siblings, Marilyn (Glen) Peck of Winthrop, Jeanette (Merle) Hanson of Northwood and Linda (Mike) Moore of Ames; many nieces and nephews; and her brother-in-law, Don See.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Sharon See.
