Former Zearing Man Dies In Hampton

Chris N. Christiansen, age 63, a north Iowa creamery manger for many years, died Wednesday in the Lutheran Hospital at Hampton, where he had been a patient for four days. He had been manager of the Dows Co-operative Creamery for the past ten years. Previously he was a creamery manager at Hampton and Zearing.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, near Coulter. Rev. W. R. Garred officiated and burial was made in St. John's cemetery. The VanHover Funeral Home of Dows, was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Christiansen was born Nov. 5, 1897 at Owense, Denmark. He was married May 26, 1931 to Nicoline Andersen, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Paul Christiansen of Des Moines and Keith Christiansen, at home, two daughters, Margot Christiansen of Greeley, Colo. and Marie Christiansen of Des Moines, and a brother and two sisters in Denmark.
