Miss M. Carley formerly of this place died in San Francisco Oct. 21, '89, after a lingering illness of six months. She bore her extreme suffering with Christian fortitude, believing the change awaiting her would be to her eternal gain. Miss Carley's affectionate nature drew around her many friends, wherever she went, as was attested by the profusion of flowers strewn around her grave.
