DIED:--Rev. E. C. Wallace died at the evangelical parsonage on Winterset circuit, Oct. 11, 1887, at the age of 37 years 4 months and 10 days. Rev. Wallace was formerly a resident of Story county, living about four miles south of Zearing. He received license to preach in the evangelical church in the spring of 1885, since which time he has served with success, and entire satisfaction to his people, the Winterset circuit of the Des Moines Conference. He was a man of excellent talent and rapidly improving in the work of the ministry, highly appreciated by all that knew him. His illness was brief and death very unexpected. He was resigned and died in the triumphs of the Christian faith.
