Died.

At his father's home near Nevada, Friday, May 9th, of consumption, Ernest Wireman, aged 22 years and 9 months. The deceased was a young man of worth and promise, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Wireman. His parents moved onto their farm southeast of Nevada when he was a baby; and here he grew to manhood, winning the regard and friendship of all who knew him. He graduated from the Nevada High School in June 1882 and taught the following winter and spring at the Wolf school house and in his home district. Last September he went to Georgetown, Texas, making his home with an uncle, and later began teaching there. He remained there for some time after failing health had compelled him to stop teaching. About three weeks ago he stared home, reaching here the following Saturday. He lingered for nearly two weeks and died surrounded by his family and friends and confident of his happiness hereafter. He is the fourth of the family who has died; and he leaves five sisters living. The funeral was largely attended, many of his old schoolmates being present and thirty carriages and wagons accompanying the remains from the house to the church. The services were acceptably conducted by Rev. A. K. Bone of he Cumberland Presbyterian church. At a meeting of the Alumni of the High School Saturday evening the following resolutions were unanimously adopted:

WHEREAS, Ernest Wireman, an esteemed member of our association, and of the class of '82 has been called from life; therefore

Resolved, By the Alumni of the Nevada High School: That we deplore his death as a loss to us, to his friends and to the community in which he lived, and that to his relatives and friends we extend sincere condolence and heartfelt sympathy.

Resolved, That these resolutions be published and that a copy herewith will be given to the family of the deceased.
