Pioneer Gilbert Business Man Victim of Pneumonia

Gilbert, March 12 -- Arthur Jones, 75, pioneer business man of Gilbert, died at his home here Monday night at 11:30 as a result of pneumonia. He had been ill only since Wednesday of last week.

Mr. Jones who would have been 7 years of age on March 17, was born at Athens, Ohio. He came to Iowa as a young man and was married to Matilda Kramme at Laurel, Iowa, 38 years ago last November 25.

He was engaged in the drug business at Story City for a few years, after which he came to Gilbert and this had been his home since.

He leaves besides his wife, sons Earl of Ogden, Utah; Clyde of Des Moines and Ralph of Boone, and daughters, Mrs. Floyd Wakefield of Ames, and Mrs. Andrew Hughes of Gilbert.
