Ames woman's brother died

Earl J. Jones, 70, San Francisco, Calif., died there Jan. 18.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. form Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. H. Clay Lumpkins of the Gilbert Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery.

Mr. Jones was born Oct. 25, 1893 at Story City and graduated from Story City High School. He attended the University of Illinois.

Mr. Jones had been employed as a C.P.A. and treasurer of the Utah Construction Co.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Arcadia Lodge, No. 249, AF and AM, Ames; and the Shrine.

Survivors include his wife, Glen Ella; a sister, Mrs. Ora Wakefield, Route 1 and brother, Ralph Janes, Boone.

The body will lie in state at Adams Funeral Home Wednesday.

Members of Arcadia Lodge No. 249 will participate in the funeral service.
