Kenneth Eugene Erickson, Sr., 79, of Story City, Iowa died of a heart attack Tuesday, October 26 at home.

Mr. Erickson was born in Story City and had lived in Texas, California and Tingley, Iowa before returning to Story City in 1959. He was the retired owner and operator of K. E. Erickson Machinery Co. and a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nevada, Iowa, Story City Lions Club and Story City Chamber of Commerce.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Reba Breckenridge Erickson, formerly of Tingley. Survivors include a son Kenneth (Dorothy) Erickson, Jr. of Ames, Iowa; a brother Benjamin (Ruby) Erickson of Story City; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Friday, October 29, 1999 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City with Pastor David Lincoln officiating. Kurt Erickson and Kenny Frette sang musical selections.

Interment was in the Story City Cemetery, Story City. Soderstrum Funeral Homes of Story City was in charge of the arrangements.
