ANNAS J. HENRYSON

Funeral services for Annas J. Henryson, 80, were held Nov. 5 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. C. A. Gisselquist officiating. Burial was in Story City Cemetery.

Sharing in the funeral services were the Rev.'s M. C. Hagedorn and Pernie C. Pederson, both representing Bethany Manor. Speaking in behalf of the family were Arndt C. Braaten of Luther College, Decorah, and the Rev. Harold Reitz of the Winnebago Lutheran Church of rural Lake Mills.

Mr. Henryson died Nov. 2 at Bethany Manor, Story City.

He was born Nov. 24, 1889 at the home of his parents, Hans B. and Helen Henryson, one mile east of Story City. His entire life was spent in the Story City community. He retired from active farming in 1954.

He and Melinda Christina Myre were married at Coulton, S.D., Jan. 5, 1910.

He served on the board at Bethany Manor for many years, and was chairman of the board. In addition, he served as president of Immanuel Lutheran Church, superintendent of the Sunday School, as a Sunday School teacher and as a member of the board of deacons. Mr. Henryson was also a director of the Thorson school.

Survivors include his wife, Melinda; a son Gaylord, Story City; four daughters, Mrs. Selma Dyvick of Ames, Mrs. Myrtle Olson of Jewell, Mrs. Margaret Hart of Lake Charles, La., and Mrs. Hazel Braaten, Decorah. In addition, there are 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, two brothers and a son.

Pallbearers were Harlan Henryson, Gary Henryson, Daniel Dyvick, Steven Dyvick, Bruce Henryson, Michael Olson and Loren Olson.
