Ruby Pence
Sept. 20, 1903 to May 11, 1993

Ruby Cathryn Pence, 89, of Nevada died of heart failure at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

She was born in Centerville to Pearl and Linnie (Roney) Morris. She married Orman Pence on April 23, 1923, in Albia. She lived in Nevada for 65 years. She was retired from Donnelley Marketing. She was a member of the Nevada Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include one son, Larry m. Pence of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Evelyn Doggett of Udell and Geraldine Kratzer of Des Moines; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Jean Kathryn Pence, and two sisters.

Funeral services were Saturday at the Nevada Assembly of God Church with Pastor Thomas Poppe officiating. Burial followed in the Nevada Cemetery. Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada, handled arrangements.
