Anna Marie Earwicker
June 22, 1926 to Aug. 3, 2000Anna Marie Earwicker, 74, of Ballard Creek Community of Huxley, formerly of Ames, died Thursday, Aug. 3, at Mary Greeley Medical Center of congestive heart failure.
She was born June 22, 1926, in Nevada to David and Lucy Belle (McKee) Earwicker. She attended the Nevada School system and was employed as a sales clerk at Ben Franklin in Nevada for several years, worked at the telephone company in Nevada and was a custodian at the Story County Hospital for several years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Ames and enjoyed reading and knitting.
Survivors include one brother, Harley Earwicker of Escondido, Calif.; and three sisters, Thelma Allie of Ames, Dorothy Hapes of Nevada and Ardell Hidlebaugh of Kelley.
Her parents, two sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Monday at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Ballard Creek Community of Huxley.
