Services Saturday for J. Lodestein

John Lodestein, 84, Nevada, a former Ames resident, died Tuesday at his home.

Services are Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial is in the Nevada Cemetery.

Born April 28, 1889 in Maquoketa, he was a resident of Story County for 57 years. Mr. Lodestein worked in maintenance at Iowa State University. He married Nellie M. Butler Aug. 2, 1911 in Marion.

Survivors include two sons, Lawrence, Glendale, Calif., and Marion, Westminister, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Ball, Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Myrtle Rosene, Nevada; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, and a grandchild.
