Hugo Toppenberg Died Suddenly on Visit to Boone

Hugo F. Toppenberg, 25, son of Ole Toppenberg of Nevada was found dead in his bed at the home of an aunt, Mrs. George Hoffman in Boone early today.

The young man who had been an invalid for many years, but not in a serious condition, had gone to bed in the usual health and died some time during the night.

He had been a guest at the home of his aunt since Thanksgiving, having gone there from the State Hospital for Epileptics at Woodward, where he had been a patient for years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday at the Bishop Funeral home with Dr. J. O. Simon of Memorial Lutheran church in charge. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery by the side of his mother who died August 16, 1927.

The young man who was born at Stanhope January 27, 1912 leaves his father, brothers Fritz, Otto and Elmar and sisters Mildred and Marie.

While he had been a contented patient at the state institution for the past ten years, he had recently expressed a desire to leave there and the father only during the past day or so had been making arrangements for him to return to the home in Nevada.
