Mrs. Lucy Johnson died in Nevada
Mrs. Lucy Johnson, 72, Nevada died about 10:40 p.m. Friday night at the Story County Hospital.
Born Feb. 9, 1889 in Giltner, Neb. the daughter of Charles and Valinda Mayo she had been a resident of Story County for the past 65 years. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the first Christian Church in Nevada.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. L. H. Van Scoy of Ames; a brother, Ralph Mayo of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters Mrs. Myrtle Padelford of Nevada and Mrs. Roy Cook of Ames as well as one grandson.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sons.
Funeral services will be from the Nevada Christian Church Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. W. R. Tuttle officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery. The Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is in charge of arrangements.
