Jan. 21, 1903 to Aug. 29, 1990

Kathryn Marie Mills, 87, of Nevada died Aug. 29 at Story County Hospital from complications of a stroke.

She was born Jan. 21, 1903, in Nevada to Bruce and Lena Sutherland and married William H. Mills on May 31, 1925, in Des Moines. She was homemaker and member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Nevada Chapter 296.

Survivors include one son, William of Nevada; four brothers, Glen and Luther Sutherland of Monticello, Calif., and Dorrell Sutherland of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Aug.31 at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Services were held Sept. 1 at the funeral home with burial in Nevada Cemetery.
