W. H. Mills, Nevada, died
William Howard Mills, 66, 1306 Ninth St., Nevada, died Friday [March 22, 1968] at Story County Hospital following a two-week illness.
Born in Thomasboro, Ill., he had been a resident of Story County for the past 60 years. He was a retired U.S. Postal Service Employee.
He was a member of the Methodist Church in Nevada and of the church board. he was member of the Shrine Temple, Des Moines; Scotish Rite Bodies, Des Moines; Nevada Lodge 99, AF and M; the Order of the Eastern Star, Oddfellows Lodge and the Ames Coin Club.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; two sons, Gerald M. Mills, Nevada and William Howard, Jr., Nevada; four brothers, Jesse of Middlestown, Calif., Orville of Iowa Falls, Ray of El Monte, Calif. and Alba of Minburn; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy King, Anderson, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Nevada Methodist Church with the Rev. M. C. Shupe and the Rev. Myron Surface officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Ryan Funeral Home form Sunday noon until the time of services.
