Alberta Juliet Beal
June 24, 1913, to July 14, 2003

Alberta Juliet Beal, 90, of Nevada, died Monday, July 14, at Story Long Term Care from a heart ailment.

She was born June 24, 1913, in Slater to Elmer and Celia (Heggem) Thoresen. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1931. She married Harold Beal. She had been a cook at Iowa State University for many years. She was a member of the Nevada Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a brother, Don Skola of Ames; and two sisters, Christie Logsdon of Maxwell and Mildred Frantzen of Omaha, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Beal, on June 8, 1970; and her son, Harold Beal, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. Tom Poppe officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Bacon Funeral Home, Nevada, is in charge of arrangements.
